I just found out today that serving Sangria is illegal in Virginia because it’s against the law to mix beer or wine with spirits. I found this out because a resteraunt owner is fighting the ban after he actually got cited and finded $2000 for serving sangria which is red wine, liqueur, and some other kind of fruit. Personally, I don’t like sangria, but the only sangria I’ve ever had – I had it in Virginia.
