Here’s To You Anonymous Friend!!!

without comments

I have a new hero today, and his or her name is:  Anonymous Friend.

Anonymous Friend donated one hundred million dollars to the Erie (PA) Community Foundation, and he or she did it anonymously.  That money will now be devided up amoung other Erie charities.  The director of an Erie homeless shelter cried when she heard the shelter would get $2 million dollars.  I work for a non-profit.  I know exactly how she feels.

So, Anonymous Friend, here’s to you!

Two pilots fall asleep on active flight

with one comment

On a flight from Baltimore to Denver, two pilots recently fell asleep on the job just before landing. Apparently, they were over worked and exhausted, but how bad is it when both pilots take a nap while flying in mid air? This should raise serious questions about our safety in the skies. The captain awoke to frantic air traffic controllers yelling at them to slow down as they were traveling twice the speed allowed for a landing. It sounds like United/ Frontier Airlines should take better care of their pilots and make sure they have their morning coffee, or at least don’t make them pull all nighters.
