iPad doesn’t add up
The much anticipated announcement of the iPad was a total failure if you ask me. Nothing about the “new” product is…..well, new. It just looks pretty and claims a somewhat low price. Everything else you can find on the iPhone or the iPod Touch. My opinion and prediction is that the iPad will flop. I don’t see how it could fit into my life and furthermore, I don’t even know what I would use it for. If anyone has a valid argument of why I should buy it please pitch!
The Failures:
1. Nothing innovative about it.
2. No multitask.
3. The name. iPad?
4. Hardly enough memory for music, pictures, and Ebooks. Not to mention games.
5. Boring UI.
The tablet I would buy is the Microsoft Courier. The problem is that I have lost faith that Microsoft had realized how innovative this product really was and decided not to make it. I could be wrong and I know this would blow the iPad out of the water, but so far no luck.
Educated Spammer
This made its way to the spam comment box and I thought it would make for a good show and tell. This spammer must have recently graduated college and attempted to sound intelligent. It’s a hilarious attempt at TRYING to sound legit. Just for the record I got two more very similar ones each with a different, vast vocabulary.
Easily, the post is really the best on this laudable topic. I harmonise with your conclusions and will eagerly look forward to your approaching updates. Saying thanks will not just be adequate, for the fantastic lucidity in your writing. I will at once grab your rss feed to stay abreast of any updates. Good work and much success in your business dealings!
Transformers: Mac style
My how technology takes off. Kind of makes me wanna get a mac. haha Love this!
Faxing, Twitter, Old People
Fax to Twitter service helps older people Tweet. Its kind of like an instant old fashioned 160 character letter for people who refuse to type. I can see how this might be good for someone without a computer…but seriously, who doesn’t have a computer these days? Get grandma a computer for Christmas so she can Tweet the right way already.
Microsoft Courier
I haven’t been keeping up with the latest tech rumors like I should but I did run across the Microsoft Courier. I believe this is the coolest looking tablet gadget I have ever seen. If the product would hit shelves looking anywhere near what it does on the video below, I would have new found respect for Microsoft.
Whatcha think? I would buy it (considering it was reasonably priced). It would be great for bloggers.
USF football player hit by coach?
A local story for me, USF football coach Jim Leavitt is under investigation for allegedly hitting one of his players during half-time. The “story” keeps changing it seems as its looked into further. It was probably a pat on the back, but in America that is considered violent these days. In any case, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Let’s all be happy for the holidays
It’s that time of year again. For me, its a wonderful time of year as I look forward to having time off with family and friends. Its a time to de-stress, unwind, and prepare mentally for the upcoming year. Unfortunately for some, the holiday season is a time of stress or worry. LifeSynch has put together a list of stress reducing tips that can make life a whole lot easier.
It’s OK to say “no”
Don’t take on more than you can handle. That’s a sure path to stress. If you find yourself taking on too many things, get others to help or find a way to simplify things.Put the past behind you
Over the years, you may have developed issues with family members or others that you see over the holidays. If so, go into this meeting with a positive attitude. Don’t start a discussion that could lead to an argument
Some of these steps seem trivial, but not naming any names, I can think of a couple families that could heed this advice. The holiday season is a time for love, family, and unwinding. Let’s all enjoy it, I know I will. Do you know any people or families who become stressed to the point of dreading the holidays?
Katie Couric Dance
Katie Couric looks as if she had a little too much to drink at an after party [Nothing wrong with that]. She dances the night away. Alert: Cougar loose on the dance floor somebody call 911.
Internet is back up
Thank you Verizon. Thank you. I just wanted to congratulate you for “accidentally” cutting through my Brighthouse Networks fiber optics line today cutting Internet services off for about 4,000 people including me! It took about 6 hours to restore service. That is one way to kill the competition Verizon. Way to go.
Annoying Facebook personalities
I found this article to be amusing yet true. To those pesky Facebook users out there who fall under these categories please take a hint. We have the ‘add as many friends as we can’ user along with the ‘dramatic status updater’ user. Perhaps they aren’t as annoying as the ’self promoting’ user. Yes, we all know one of those. The user we never want to think about especially for you ladies is the “stalker”. The guy who looks at your profile in the anonymity of Facebook land constantly keeping track of your every move.
